A "Presidential appearance" can be an exciting and memorable experience for any type of group. Here are a few suggestions to make sure your event is the experience you want it to be.
When considering a Presidential look-alike, first look at the pictures of the person. Does he look so much like the President that you think this could be the President? Or do you have to stretch your imagination to see the resemblance. If the look isn't almost perfect in publicity photos, you may be disappointed when you see the look-alike in person.
Check the look-alike's resume of appearances. There are a number of persons in this business who have done only a few shows on a part-time basis. I do this full-time for a living and has
had nearly 400 paid professional appearances. I have appeared before several Fortune 500 companies and numerous mid-sized and smaller businesses in over
40 states, DC, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia.
An experienced performer will give you a better show than some part-timer just starting out. I suggest that you check references for the persons you are considering. Find out if they've won any awards for their performances.
Some performers make President Bush look like a fool. My speech is intelligent and shows some of the humorous sides of the Presidency although I do mispronounce a few words. My jokes are corporate clean and bi-partisan. I update my speech regularly and generally include some references to the group I'm speaking to.
Since I consider myself generically a humorous corporate speaker, my fee is competitive with other well-known humorous speakers. I do not have a set fee since the amount of work I do varies from job to job. Others charge from $1500 for a meet and greet only from a lesser known look-alike to over $15,000 for a full corporate show. I feel my pricing offers the best value for the dollar.
If you're really serious about an appearance, contact your entertainment professional. I will do my best to make the appearance enjoyable and memorable.
